Well, I had been both dreading and looking forward to today... I was looking forward to it because I knew that it was going to be my last day in 4 1/2-inch heels, and that I would be graduating to 5-inch heels tomorrow. I was dreading it because I knew that my last pair of 4 1/2-inch heels were a pair of shoes that were really far too small for me, and I was not looking forward to having my feet crushed by those tight, unyielding pumps. Things turned out to not be all that bad though - even though today's shoes were just as excruciating as I had expected and then some, I also had to work today, and the new sound system that I ordered for our new play room (i.e. "dungeon") arrived today. That meant crawling around in the attic running the wires for it, and that mean wearing my high-heeled work boots again, which compared to today's shoes, feel like comfy, soft slippers. :-)

I did spend some time in my painful shoes when I got home, about an hour and a half in fact. I'm not sure how much I would have been able to take, so I was glad that I had a legitimate reason to put on my work boots instead. There is no way that I would be able to sleep in these tonight, so I will be putting on more comfortable sleeping shoes tonight, although I have not decided which pair yet.

Today's shoes really are gorgeous shoes though, and they are vintage shoes from the 80s that I would probably never have had the chance to buy again, which was why I bought them even though I knew they were too small for me. Some shoes are almost like works of art to me, and I just want to have them so I can have them and appreciate them. I never thought that I would be being forced to wear each and every pair of them though, or perhaps I might have chosen a bit more cautiously. :-) But what can I say, these are just damn sexy shoes. I really like the way these photos came out (despite the agony I was in while taking them!) I think they are my favorite batch of photos since I started my training almost a month ago. (It is honestly hard for me to believe it has already been that long!)

Today's shoes are actually a little higher than 4 1/2 inches, they are about 4 3/4 inches. I never wanted to sort my shoes in to too many overly-precise categories though, which was why these got lumped in with all the 4 1/2-inch shoes that I have. I think it's fitting though that my chooser program selected these for the last day of my 4 1/2-inch heel training, since they are really a bit higher than that, a natural transition to the 5-inch heels I will be in beginning tomorrow.

I can't wait to see what shoes my chooser program chooses for me tomorrow! I have more 5-inch heels than any other height, so there are a lot to choose from, it could pick almost anything. I guess I will know when I wake up in the morning. :-)
