I did it! I kept yesterday's boots on all through the night. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to, since even though they were fairly comfortable, they were also very restrictive - I was basically unable to change the position of my feet, or even bend my toes for almost 24 hours. My feet did get somewhat cramped and achy, and I woke up from it probably 4 or 5 times, but in the end I did manage to endure it for my Mistress, which I am very proud of.

Today's shoes on the other hand, are a totally different story. What a bad way to start a new year. :-( I knew I was going to be in for a difficult day as soon as I saw what the chooser program had picked for me this morning. These shoes are actually the correct size, they are just very poorly designed, and thus fit very badly. It's as if the toe box part of the shoe is only about 1/2 the height that it is supposed to be. Wearing these is about what it's like having really strong clamps clamped on to all of my toes (trust me I know, I've been there and done that too.) ;-)

I put them on after getting out of bed this morning, and managed to make it about two hours in them, most of that on my feet, working in the kitchen and so forth. I actually surprised myself, I didn't think I would make it that long. By then I realized there was no way I would be able to endure these though, I had to find some way to take them off or else I might cause some serious long-term problems for my feet, which I know that even my Mistress would not really want. I am allowed to wear flat shoes if I have to go out, or my high heeled work boots if I am working on the house or building things, so at first I thought about going out. Then I remembered it was New Year's day, so virtually everything would be closed. So, I decided to do something productive, and worked on our dungeon - first finishing the trim around the doors, and then building the CBT chair that will attach to our Saint Andrews cross. I got a lot done, and managed to spend most of the day in my work boots, which thankfuly were much more comfortable. My feet still ache because I had to spend the whole day on them, but at least it's better than not being able to walk.

Now I just have to spend the one last hour of the day back in these excruciatingly painful shoes again while I write this and have a very late dinner. Every step is just unbelievable, horrible torture. It will be over in less than an hour though, then I'm putting on some more comfortable shoes for bed! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for my training.
