Another day, another pair of shoes... :-)

Today's shoes are somewhat unusual. I bought them because I loved the ankle collar... they almost look (and feel) like bondage cuffs around my ankles. They are odd though in that other than that big ankle collar, they only have one very thin strap that goes over the tips of my toes. It doesn't even go all the way over my toes like most toe straps would, it's as if these shoes were designed to have only the absolute minimum amount of straps needed to hold them on my feet. Visually, wearing them is almost like being barefoot, since you can see virtually all of my feet.

You might think that shoes such as this would be extremely comfortable. While they are comfortable compared to many pairs of shoes that I own, because the toe strap is so small and thin, it actually places quite a bit of pressure on my feet, and being in 5-inch heels, with all of my weight on my toes, they really do get driven in under that strap when I walk. I was just mentioning in yesterday's diary entry that it's odd how different shoes can hurt in different ways. Yesterday's shoes were much more comfortable to walk around in than to sit in, but today's are the exact opposite, walking in them is not pleasant at all, but sitting or laying down, I could wear them pretty much forever.

Speaking of laying down, since they are adequately comfortable to sleep in, these will be staying on my feet all night. Because they have only that little toe strap I will have to lock them on to my feet however. I have had trouble sleeping in shoes in the past if they did not have straps, since in my sleep they fall or get kicked off. Mistress Phoenix was not happy about that, so she has told me to begin wearing my ankle bondage cuffs when I sleep in shoes that might fall off. My bondage cuffs have a strap that goes under the heel of the shoe to keep them on, so that will ensure that these stay on my feet all night as they should.

And tonight is trash night, and I am just about to take the trash out. Regular readers of my diary know what that means. :-) It's also recycling night and I have some boxes to take out to the trash as well, so my feet are going to get pretty cold this evening. Fortunately I take the trash out right before bedtime, so afterwards all I'll need to do is put my pantyhose and shoes back on, and curl up under all the warm blankets for the evening. :-)
