High Heel Training Diary, Day 43
Today has worked out well for my shoe training... I did not have to work or go out today, but I had quite a bit to do around the house - laundry, housecleaning, etc. I was afraid that I was going to have to wear painful shoes while on my feet all day, but I was lucky and my chooser program picked another comfortable pair of shoes today.
These were one of the first pairs of high heels that I ever owned, and I still love them for that reason, even though they are really beginning to show their age - they are fairly banged up from being worn so much. They also are a little loose fitting, so I usually wear them with ankle socks, as I have today. It helps to keep my feet from sliding around in them, and I love the way they look too... just like its 1983 again. ;-)
I slept in yesterday's boots all night last night, and switched to these shoes right after I got up. I will have these on until tomorrow morning now, so by then I will have spent almost the entire weekend with my heels at least 5-inches off the ground, even more while Phoenix had me try on the ballet boots last night. Speaking of which, she did give me permission to put her photos up in my diary, so if you go back to yesterday's diary entry, you can see a few photos of her modeling my ballet boots now, even though they were not there when I originally posted the page yesterday.
My training has really come a long way. I feel so completely natural in 5-inch heels now that I do not like to take them off. (Well, except of course when I have to wear really painful ones that is.) When I have to put on flat shoes to go outside, I feel awkward and short. And there are definitely some advantages to being forced to wear high heels all the time... I suddenly find that I can reach even the highest shelves in my kitchen without a foot stool for instance. :-)
That's it for now. It's still a few hours until bed time, but when it comes, I will be putting my locking ankle straps on to keep these shoes from falling off my feet while I sleep. They will be staying on through the night, lace ankle socks and all.

Update 1/17/2005: I took a few photos of the locking ankle straps at bed time, and have added them now. I made it all the way through the night in my shoes (obviously) :-) even though they did start to be quite uncomfortable by morning.
